I recently did an on-air interview with Jimmy Lakey of Fox News Radio where we talked about the latest happenings in the Northern Colorado real estate market.
As we discussed, this is a time of year that the real estate market tends to slow down, but now is a great time to buy a home. If you wait until the months of March, April, May, and June, you’ll be facing a far more competitive market.
BUYING NOW MEANS SAVING MONEY.
Buying now means you could also save money. If you think about it, when you’re buying and selling in the same market, selling at top dollar means you’ll also be buying at top dollar. A lot more sellers are willing to take contingencies right now, which only adds to the incentive to do a buy/sell transaction now.
Our Northern Colorado area is experiencing exactly the same kind of boom we’re seeing in, for example, Douglas County. The local builders I work with are still building like crazy, developing land, and building more subdivisions. They themselves predict that the market is only going to increase from here. Certain markets are slowing down and experiencing a correction, but the Northern Colorado area is still projected to do really well.
